PRESIDENT ELECTED AT RCAT 42ND ANNUAL CONFERENCE
Sherri Johnson McDonald of Johnson Roofing 42nd RCAT President
The Roofing Contractors Association of Texas (RCAT) elected Sherri Johnson McDonald as the 2018 President. Following in her Father’s footsteps, Bill Johnson, who was the President of RCAT in 1986. Sherri is only the second woman President of RCAT in its 42 year history.
Sherri is the President of Johnson Roofing, one of Texas’ largest residential and commercial roofing contractors. She is the 3rd generation in her family leading the company into a new era of roofing. Now in their 77th year of operation, the company is realizing more success than ever by embracing technological changes, placing an increased emphasis on training, and stronger efficiencies in Project Management. Nurturing strong relationships with their Customers and their Roofing Team continues to remain a priority.
Sherri is quoted as saying, “The most important quality for leadership is credibility; people must be able to trust you, or they won’t follow you. Treat your team and your customers how you would want to be treated – with honor and respect.”
Founded in 1975, RCAT is a statewide trade association of roofing and waterproofing contractors. RCAT’s mission is to help it’s members operate successfully by providing continuing education, industry contacts and networking, a forum for government and public relations and consumer protection awareness. Sherri states: “Our goal is simple – to provide leadership, integrity and education. We want to help develop successful business leaders by supporting companies to be more efficient and retain more profits.”
